[sticky post] Hi
Hi, my name is Jen.
I'm a Taiwanese nerdfighter living in America who loves Asian culture. I blog about my life; obsessions, likes/dislikes, school, debate, music, fashion, nerdfighteria, etc. I'm awkward, but that's okay.

The majority of my posts are friends only.

Hey! Everyone should join Hautelook because it's super awesome and I spend way too much time on it. And because the website explains it better than I can:

Each day at 8 AM Pacific, shop new sale events featuring the best names in women's and men's fashion and accessories, beauty, kids' apparel and toys, and home décor at up to 75% off. Membership is free and everyone is welcome!

You can join right here: CLICK ME

There are a PLETHORA of wonderful finds as long as you are patient and look hard enough. I joined in April and have made four purchases. All of which I'm extremely pleased with. I'm so glad that I can purchase brand name items with only a fraction of the price! I'm currently waiting on an order of philosophy perfumes. I'm so excited because as you probably know judging from my my previous entry, I've been looking at perfumes for quite awhile.

Personally the clothes and shoes can be a little too pricey for me even with 50 to 75% off, but I love browsing through the beauty items. In fact three out of my four purchases have all been beauty items; makeup, facial care, and perfume. The oddball is this American Apparel skirt I bought because I just couldn't resist and it was reduced to like $19 as opposed to the usual $40-something price tag.

I will admit the shipping can take a long time (like 2 weeks or more), but it is extremely worth it. Come on. Awesome items at 50-75% off? The only downside is if you're hoping to wear something for an event or want to clear up your skin before a big date or something. Otherwise, it's TOTALLY awesome!

Go join now and never pay full price ever again! WHOOO.

I realized this post is all, Hautelook, Hautelook, Hautelook! But I swear I was not paid to do this. I just really love the website and I want people to join. *cough* And I also get rewarded if people join by clicking on my link and making a purchase *cough*

I have been really into perfumes and fragrances recently and I've been trying really hard to find the perfect one for me. It's kind of hard though with no Sephora or samples because I'm just reading the descriptions online and reading tons (AND TONS) of reviews.

But basically this post serves as a list of fragrances I'm currently interested in because I'm too lazy to get up and get some pen and paper.

Look at what I made, look at what I made.

I have a goal this year. And it has to do with books. By the end of 2012 I will have read at least 30 books. Let's do this. I already have three down, 27 more to go. I'm currently in the midst of 10 or so books though so I've got a good start... I hope.

I've read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, Bossypants by Tina Fey. I'm working on:
1984 by George Orwell
1Q84 by Haruki Murakami
The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris
Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
Through The Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
Catch 22 by Joseph Heller

I feel like there's more, but I can't think of them right now. And not all of the books I'm currently reading are in my possession at the moment because I let people borrow my books before I finish reading. But it doesn't really matter because I have a plethora of other books to read. There are just too many books I want to read and I end up starting more and more books because my hunger for books is like a black hole; it's a never ending pit. I should probably finish a couple of these books before I start anything new. But cracking open a new book is just so tempting. Guys, I have a problem. Instead of alcoholics anonymous, there needs to be a books anonymous.

Hello, my name is Jen and I'm addicted to starting books even though I'm already in the process of reading 11 other books.

Speaking of which, I think a 12th just got added on. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. I haven't opened the book yet, but it's been perched upon my bookshelf for a few months now and it's really quite tempting. I'm going to try and finish something first, but I plan on it being added onto the list soon.

I got bored.

Christmas isn't a very big deal in my family and so I'm just spending it at home, eating lots of chocolate covered almonds and reading Eat, Pray, Love.
